Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated NOV 21 2000.
G.R. No. 142038 (Rolando E. Columbres vs. Commission on Elections.)
Acting on the motion for extension of time to physically reexamine the contested ballots and ascertain their validity filed by Atty. Jose P. Balbuena of the COMELEC for thirty (30) days from the expiration of the original period or until 19 November 2000, the Court resolve to GRANT the same.
The COMELEC is reminded to resolve said case as soon as possible in view of the proximity of the next elections.
