Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated MAR 26 2002 .

G.R. Nos. 149430-32(People of the Philippines vs. Carmelo Catbagan.)

The second motion of the Public Attorney's Office for extension of thirty (30) days from February 26, 2002 or until March 28, 2002 within which to file the appellant's brief, is GRANTED.

Acting on the Urgent Motion with Leave of Court dated February 26, 2002, filed by Public Attorney's Office, praying that the Superintendent of the Bureau of Corrections, and/or the Secretary of the Department of Justice be authorized to allow accused-appellant's request to view the remains of her deceased mother on March 30, 2002 at Poblacion, Bacnotan, La Union, the Court Resolved to DENY the motion for lack of merit.
