Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated APR 8 2003.
G.R. No. 147589(Ang Bagong Bayani-OFW Labor Party (under the Acronym OFW), represented herein by its secretary general, Mohamad Omar Fajardo vs. Commission on Elections.)
G.R. No. 147613(Bayan Muna vs. Commission on Elections.)
Acting on the Motion and Supplemental Motion of Bayan Muna to set aside Comelec Resolution No. NBC-02-001 promulgated on November 6, 2002 (and the related November 22, 2002 Comelec Order and November 26, 2002 Comelec Resolution) which granted two (2) additional seats to APEC and one (1) additional seat to AKBAYAN, BUTIL and CIBAK, the Court RESOLVES to require APEC, AKBAYAN, BUTIL and CIBAK to comment thereon within a non-extendible period of seven (7) days upon receipt hereof.Thereafter, the matter shall be deemed submitted for resolution by this Court.
*The Court further Resolved to:
(a) NOTE the:
(i)First Indorsement dated 25 March 2003 of Mr. Joseph Bryan Hilary P. Davide, Chief Justice's Staff Head, referring the letter dated 24 March 2003, with enclosures, of Manny C. Lopez, Chairman, People Power Party, requesting for the speedy resolution of the said Party's "Comment and/or Class Suit Motion for Reconsideration" filed in these cases;
(ii)Manifestation and Opposition dated
(iii)Joint Motion for Immediate Resolution dated 25 March 2003 filed by counsel for BUHAY, AMIN, COCOFED, ABA, NCIA, PM and SANLAKAS;
(iv)Comment on/Compliance with 18 February 2003 Resolution (with Motion for Leave to File the Incorporated Omnibus Motion to Suspend Pro Tanto the Finality of 8 October 2002 Resolution and Authorize COMELEC to Resolve VFP's Motion for Reconsideration in SPA No. 01-108), dated 28 March 2003 filed by counsel for VFP; and
(b)NOTE the undated Entry of Appearance of Atty. Neva B. Blancaver as counsel for People Power Party and GRANT their request to be furnished with all processes at their given address.
