GOV'T. OF THE U.S. vs. PONFERRADA

Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated APR 29 2003.

G.R. No. 151456(Government of the United States, etc. vs. Hon. Rodolfo A. Ponferrada, etc., et al.)

Acting on the "Compliance" dated March 31, 2003 of Judge Eduardo B. Peralta Jr. of the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 17, the Court does not accept His Honor's very tentative position that he is allegedly "in a quandary" on what to do.Bearing in mind that Court's Order dated November 28, 2001, His Honor is DIRECTED to resolve within 15 days from notice the pending matter of bail, which according to said lower court Order, "shall be subject to whatever ruling the Supreme Court may render in the similar case of Mark Jimenez x x x."Within the same period, the respondent court shall report its compliance to this Court.
