Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this
Court dated APR 12 2004.
G.R. No. 147640 (Jowett K.
Golangco vs. Atty. Jone B. Fung) and G.R. No. 147762 (Office of the Ombudsman vs. Atty. Jone B. Fung.)
In
a
"Manifestation of Compliance" dated June 3, 2002, petitioner Jowett K. Golangco prayed that
he be excused from filing a Reply in G.R. No. 147762 (entitled Office of the
Ombudsman vs. Atty. Jone B. Fung) as required in the Resolution dated April 22,
2002, on the ground he is not a party thereto. He further stated that he had
already filed a Reply in G.R. No. 147640 and that the Court considered said
Reply as Compliance with the April 22,
2002 Resolution.
Forthwith, the Court issued Resolution dated August 14, 2002 noting the aforesaid manifestation
"pending filing of petitioner's reply to respondent's comment on the
petition for review in G.R. No. 147762 as required in the Resolution of April 22, 2002."
Acting on the Motion for Clarification dated September 18, 2002 filed by Jowett K. Golangco,
the Court considers the Reply Filed in G.R. No, 147640 as compliance with the
Resolution dated April 22, 2002,
The Court further DIRECTS the Office of the Ombudsman to file a Reply to
the Comment filed by Atty. Jone B. Fung in G.R. No. 147762.
