Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated DEC 14 2004.
G.R. No. 155957 (People of the Philippines vs. SPO1 Alih Andih Irol, et al.)
It appearing from the records that Atty. Abdulmoin M. Pakam,
counsel for H. Alejo and M. Edris, and Atty. Alfredo M. Jimenez, counsel for A.
Irol, both failed to comply with the show cause resolution of 1 June 2004
within the period fixed therein which expired on 29 July 2004 and 5 August
2004, respectively, the Court Resolved to (a) IMPOSE upon the said
counsels a FINE of One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) each payable to
this Court within five (5) days from notice hereof, or a penalty of
imprisonment of five (5) days if the said fine is not paid within the said
period, and (b) REQUIRE the said counsels to COMPLY with the
requirement to file briefs within ten (10) days from notice hereof.
The Court further Resolved that a copy of this resolution be attached to the records of Attys. Abdulmoin M. Pakam and Alfredo M. Jimenez in the Office of the Bar Confidant.
