SANTOS vs. ORDA

Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 9 2005.

G.R. No. 158236 (Ligaya V. Santos vs. Domingo I. Orda, Jr.)

Considering that on November 30, 2004, the following pleadings were filed with this Court: (1) A Notice of Dismissal of Counsel filed by the petitioner Ligaya Santos where it was stated therein that she was terminating the services of her counsel, the Libra Law Office, effective November 18, 2004. Said Notice bears the stamp: "Received, by the Libra Law on November 22, 2004;" (2) A Formal Entry of Appearance as Counsel for the Petitioner dated July 14, 2004, filed by Atty. Redentor S. Viaje, requesting that all pleadings, orders and court processes be sent to his office address at Atty. Redentor S. Viaje & Partners, Units 14-E & F, V.Q. Bldg., CDC cor. Isarog Sts., La Loma, Quezon City; and, (3) Motion to Withdraw Petitioner's Motion for Reconsideration, filed by Atty. Redentor S. Viaje, praying that the motion for reconsideration filed by petitioner's former counsel be considered withdrawn; and a Manifestation dated January 14, 2005, filed by Libra Law, with the conformity of petitioner Ligaya Santos, stating that "the petitioner desires to pursue the resolution of the urgent motion for reconsideration filed on October 8, 2004 and that any pleading filed before the Court which may be inconsistent with this manifestation is deemed revoked and not recognized," the Court hereby REQUIRES Ligaya Santos to MANIFEST to the Court within a non-extendible period of ten (10) days from receipt of notice hereof, who is her actual Counsel in this case. In the meantime, resolution of the other motions is held in abeyance.
