Sirs/Mesdames:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated MAY 10 2005.
Administrative Case No. 6697 (Zoilo Antonio Velez vs. Atty. Leonard de Vera) and
Bar Matter No. 1227 (Re: Oath-taking of the 16th Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.)
The Court Resolved to
(a) NOTE the Comment dated 2 May 2005 with Urgent Motion for the Outright Dismissal of the Complaint on the Ground of Res Judicata and Respectful Reiteration of Request to Schedule the Oath-Taking Before the Honorable Supreme Court En Banc of the Incoming Officers of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP-National Office) filed by respondent Leonard de Vera himself and his co-counsel in A.C. No. 6697, in compliance with the resolution of 19 April 2005;
(b) NOTE the Manifestation dated 3 May 2005 filed by respondent Leonard de Vera himself and his co-counsel, stating that respondent himself furnished complainant Velez with a copy of said pleading;
(c) issue a TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER, effective immediately and continuing until further orders from this Court, enjoining Atty. Leonard de Vera from assuming asNational President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines; and
(d) REFER this case to the OFFICE OF THE BAR CONFIDANT for investigation, report and recommendation thereon, within sixty (60) days from notice hereof.
Davide, Jr., C.J., no part as respondent was one of the lawyers who volunteered to act as one of his counsels in the impeachment case. Puno, J., on sick leave. Panganiban and Gutierrez, JJ., on leave. Santiago, J., no part as her daughter is one of the IBP Governors.

GREETINGS:
WHEREAS, the Supreme Court, on 10 May 2005, adopted a resolution in the above-entitled case, to wit:
"Administrative Case No. 6697 (Zoilo Antonio Velez vs. Atty. Leonard de Vera.) and Bar Matter No. 1227.- Re: Oath-taking of the 16th Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. - The Court Resolved to

NOW, THEREFORE, effective immediately and continuing until further orders from this Court, You, Public Respondent ATTY. LEONARD DE VERA, are hereby ENJOINED from assuming the position of National President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
