Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated AUG. 15, 2006

"G.R. No. 167591 (Atty. Venancio Q. Rivera III, et al. vs. Commission on Elections, et al.) and

G.R. No. 170577 (Anthony D. Dee vs. Commission on Elections, et al)

The Court Resolved to

(a) NOTE WITHOUT ACTION the Manifestation and Motion to Resolve Based on the Pleadings on Record (cum Comment on Petitioner Dee's Motion Reiterating Motion for Hearing Dated July 5, 2006), dated July 20, 2006 filed by counsel for private respondent Marino Morales, considering that these cases have already been set for oral arguments;

(b) NOTE and GRANT the Letter-Request dated August 7, 2006 filed by Atty. Estelito P. Mendoza, requesting for leave to bring the necessary equipment for a Power Point presentation during the oral argument for these cases; and

(c) DIRECT Atty. Mendoza to COORDINATE with the Clerk of Court regarding his request.

Acting on the Urgent Motion for Postponement of the August 29, 2006 Oral Argument, dated August 14, 2006 filed by the Office of the Solicitor General for public respondent COMELEC, the Court Resolved to RESET the ORAL ARGUMENT for these cases on September 26, 2006, Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m. at the New Session Hall, New Supreme Court Building." Corona, J., on leave. Azcuna, J., abroad on official business.
