Sirs/Mesdames:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated AUG. 15, 2006

"G.R. No. 168982 (People of the Philippines vs. Director General Cesar P. Nazareno, et al.)

The Court Resolved to

(a) GRANT the Motion dated July 17, 2006 filed by counsel for respondents Director Gen. Cesar P. Nazareno and Director Everlino Nartatez for an extension of five (5) days or until July 21, 2006 within which to comply with the show cause resolution of June 27, 2006;

(b) NOTE the Compliance (with the show cause resolution of June 27, 2006) and Manifestation, dated July 21, 2006 filed by Atty. Jose Ventura Aspiras, counsel for private respondents Cesar P. Nazareno and Everlino P. Nartatez;

(c) CONSIDER the Explanation of Atty. Aspiras as NOT FULLY SATISFACTORY;

(d) ADMONISH Atty. Aspiras for his failure to file the required comment on time;

(e) NOTE the aforesaid Comment dated July 20, 2006 filed in compliance with the resolution of June 27, 2006; and

(f) REQUIRE the petitioner to file a REPLY to the above Comment within ten (10) days from notice hereof." Corona, J., on leave. Azcuna, J., abroad on official business.
