Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated OCT. 09, 2006 .

Administrative Matter No. P-06-2113 (Office of the Court Administrator vs. Efren F. Valera, Interpreter [former Acting Clerk of Court] Municipal Trial Court, Catbalogan, Samar)

[Formerly Administrative Matter No. 05-12-357-MTC] (Re: Final Report on the Financial Audit in the Municipal Trial Court, Catbalogan, Samar) and

Administrative Matter OCA IPI No. 05-2195-P (Commission on Audit [COA] represented by Atty. Napoleon Montejo vs. Efren F. Valera, Interpreter and Acting Clerk of Court, Municipal Trial Court, Catbalogan, Samar)

The Court resolves to NOTE:

(a) the letter (with attachment) dated September 5, 2006 of respondent Efren F. Varela, "proposing that the amount representing the salaries for the period of two (2) years due him in the amount of P230,904.00 and the amount of P461,041.00, or a total amount of P691,945.00 be accepted as said amount is very much near or a little more than the result of the audit team of the Fiscal Monitoring Division led by Mr. Cielo Calonia"; and

(b) the compliance with explanation and apology (with attachments) dated August 30, 2006 of Judge Odelon S. Mabutin, Municipal Trial Court, Catbalogan, Samar, with the resolution dated June 26, 2006.
