GREETINGS:

WHEREAS, the Supreme Court, on September 14, 2006 adopted a resolution in the above-entitled case, to wit:

"G.R. No. 174340 (In the Matter of the Petition for Issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus of Camilo L. Sabio, Petitioner; J. Ermin Ernest Louie R. Miguel, Petitioner-Relator vs. Honorable Senator Richard Gordon, In his Capacity as Chairman, and the Honorable Members of the Committee on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises and The Committee on Public Services of the Senate, Honorable Senator Juan Ponce-Enrile, In his Official Capacity as Member, Honorable Manuel Villar, Senate President, Senate Sergeant-at-Arms, and the Senate of the Philippines)

Acting on the Petition for Habeas Corpus, the Court Resolved to

(a) ISSUE a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS;

(b) REQUIRE the respondents to make a RETURN of the writ before this Court on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at 1:00 p.m.;

(c) REQUIRE the respondents to file a CONSOLIDATED COMMENT on the petition in this case and in G.R. Nos. 174177 and 174318, on or before 12:00 noon of September 20, 2006, Wednesday, to be personally served on the Court and on the parties;

(d) CONSOLIDATE this case with G.R. Nos. 174177 and 174318; and

(e) SET the three (3) cases for ORAL ARGUMENT on the same day, September 21, 2006, Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. at the New Session Hall, New Supreme Court Building;." Corona, J., no part due to close relations to a party. Carpio and Carpio-Morales, JJ., on official business.

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 6, Rule 102 of the Rules of Court, You, respondents Honorable Senate President Manuel Villar, Honorable Senator Richard Gordon, Honorable Senator Juan Ponce-Enrile, Honorable Members of the Committee on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises and the Committee on Public Services, Sergeant-at-Arms and the Senate of the Philippines, are hereby required to (a) make a RETURN of the writ on Thursday, September 21, 2006, at 1:00 p.m.; and (b) APPEAR and PRODUCE the person of Camilo L. Sabio before this Court.
