TO: ALL JUDGES
OF THE COURTS OF FIRST INSTANCE, JUVENILE AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS
COURTS,
CIRCUIT CRIMINAL COURTS AND CITY AND MUNICIPAL COURTS.
SUBJECT:
FURNISHING THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE WITH COPIES OF THE ORDERS OF TRIAL
COURTS
RESETTING CRIMINAL CASES ON ACCOUNT OF THE ABSENCE, WITHOUT JUSTIFIABLE
REASON, OF TRIAL FISCALS.
In the
interest
of the administration of justice and as a measure to expedite the
disposition
of criminal cases in all courts, you are hereby directed to furnish the
Ministry of Justice with a copy of your Order or Orders resetting
and/or
postponing the trial of criminal cases on account of the unjustified
absence
of the trial fiscals concerned, particularly where the accused and his
counsel have manifested their readiness for trial.cralaw:red
This arrangement,
it is hoped, will discourage trial fiscals from unnecessarily absenting
themselves during pre-scheduled trials.cralaw:red
