TO: ALL JUDGES
OF THE REGIONAL TRIAL COURTS, METROPOLITAN TRIAL COURTS, MUNICIPAL
TRIAL
COURTS IN CITIES, MUNICIPAL TRIAL COURTS, MUNICIPAL CIRCUIT TRIAL
COURTS,
SHARI'A DISTRICT COURTS AND SHARI'A CIRCUIT COURTS
SUBJECT: ASSUMING DUTIES BEFORE ISSUANCE OF APPOINTMENTS OF RECOMENDEES. It has been brought to our attention that some Judges have allowed their recommendees to assume the duties of the position to which they have been recommended even before the issuance of their respective appointments which led to numerous requests for payment of salaries for services rendered which, in most cases, could not be acted upon favorably. In order to avoid the non-payment of service rendered, it is hereby ordered that no Judge shall allow his recommendee to assume office before the issuance of his appointment except in meritorious or urgent cases and with the prior approval of the Court Administrator. To ensure the smooth operation of their Courts, Judges shall be promptly informed by the Office of the Administrative Services of the issuance of the appointments of their recommendees so that the latter can assume office even before approval of their appointments by the Civil Service Commission. This Order takes
effect immediately.
