JANUARY 2001In
order to enhance the dignity of courts and increase public knowledge
about
the history f the Judiciary, the Supreme Court, through the Public
Information
Office, caused the production and distribution to all offices of the
Judiciary
of an official Court Calendar bearing significant dates in the
Judiciary’s
history.
Considering
the above, the Offices of the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court;
all heads of offices of the Supreme Court, including the Office of the
Court Administrator and the Philippine Judicial Academy; the members of
the Judicial and Bar Council; the Presiding Justice and Associate
Justices
of the Court of Appeals; the Presiding Justice and Associate Justices
of
the Sandiganbayan; the Presiding Justice and Associate Justices of the
Court of Tax Appeals; and all judges and clerks of court of the
Regional
Trial Courts, Metropolitan Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts,
Municipal
Circuit Trial Courts, and Municipal Trial Courts in Cities, are hereby
directed to prominently display in their offices and, wherever
applicable,
in their courtrooms or session rooms the said Court Calendar, replacing
thereby any other calendar so displayed in the mentioned rooms.
Henceforth,
only the official Court Calendar shall be displayed and be within view
of the public in the areas/places stated above.
This
Administrative Circular takes effect immediately, and strict compliance
therewith is enjoined. The Court Administrator and the Public
Information
Office shall implement this Administrative Circular.
