SUBJECT : CHANGE IN JUDICIARY DEVELOPMENT FUND [JDF] SAVINGS ACCOUNT NUMBER The Land Bank of the Philippines [LBP] - Taft Avenue Branch has called our attention to the continued usage of Savings Account No. 159-01163-1 by several of our lower courts when depositing collections accruing to the JDF although the aforesaid account number had been changed to 0591-0116-34 upon the cited branch's availment of the "on-line deposit facility" on June 18, 1993. As a precautionary measure, LBP branches all over the country were advised that deposits made under the old number shall be credited to the new account number. However, this should not be used as an excuse by courts to skirt a responsibility. In view hereof, all Clerks of Courts/Accountable Officers concerned are hereby directed to utilize the new number in all JDF deposit transactions with the bank. June 4, 1998.
