DESIGNATING THE NEW MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE ON GENDER RESPONSIVENESS IN THE JUDICIARY.

WHEREAS, Administrative Circular No. 22-2003 dated March 27, 2003 includes as members of the Committee on Gender Responsiveness in the Judiciary (CGRJ) a representative from the Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) to be designated by its Chancellor, and the President of the Philippine Judges' Association (PJA);

WHEREAS, PHILJA's current representative to the CGRJ, Commissioner Teresita Dy Liacco-Flores, has been appointed as Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals, and in her stead PHILJA's Chancellor, Hon. Justice Ameurfina Melencio-Herrera, recommends Dr. Purificacion V. Quisumbing as PHILJA representative, and Prof. Amparita Sta. Maria as her alternate;

WHEREAS, the PJA has elected a new president for 2003 to 2005 in the person of Hon. Judge Romeo F. Barza, thus replacing its first representative to the CGRJ, Hon. Judge Marino dela Cruz, Jr.;

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to our authority under the revised Resolution in A.M. No. 99-12-08-SC, we hereby DESIGNATE DR. PURIFICACION V. QUISUMBING as PHILJA's representative to the CGJR, with PROF. AMPARITA STA. MARIA as her alternate, and HON. ROMEO F. BARZA as PJA's representative to the CGRJ effective immediately.
