Syllabus

1. In this suit against the United States to recover benefits under a contract of war risk insurance, on account of alleged total and permanent disability resulting from insanity of the insured while the policy was in force, held that the evidence was insufficient to support a judgment for the plaintiff, and the trial court properly granted the Government's motion for a directed verdict. P. 319 U. S. 386.

2. The Seventh Amendment has no application of its own force to this suit against the United States. P. 319 U. S. 388.

3. Upon the record in this case, the direction of the verdict for the defendant did not deprive the plaintiff of the right to a jury trial. P. 319 U. S. 396.
