Syllabus
A. settled upon land belonging to the Indians of the village or Pueblo of Taos, in New Mexico.
Held:
1. That he was not liable under the acts of Congress which prohibit a settlement by any person on land belonging, secured, or granted by treaty with the United States to any Indian tribe.
2. That they have a complete title to their land, and are not an Indian tribe within the meaning of those acts.
