Title 49 - Transportation
The Assistant Secretary for Governmental Affairs is delegated authority to: (a) Establish procedures for responding to Congressional correspondence. (b) Serve as the Department's point of contact in relationships with public and private organizations and groups devoted to consumer and community services or affairs. (c) Serve as coordinator for intra-Departmental consumer affairs programs.
