Sec. 3923. Compatibility among agencies utilizing Foreign
Service personnel system
(a) The Service shall be administered to the extent practicable in a
manner that will assure maximum compatibility among the agencies
authorized by law to utilize the Foreign Service personnel system. To
this end, the other heads of such agencies shall consult regularly with
the Secretary of State.
(b) Nothing in this subchapter shall be construed as diminishing the
authority of the head of any agency authorized by law to utilize the
Foreign Service personnel system.
