Sec. 1621l. Patient travel costs
(a) The Secretary, acting through the Service, shall provide funds
for the following patient travel costs associated with receiving health
care services provided (either through direct or contract care or
through contracts entered into pursuant to the Indian Self-Determination
Act [25 U.S.C. 450f et seq.]) under this chapter--
(1) emergency air transportation; and
(2) nonemergency air transportation where ground transportation
is infeasible.
(b) There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this
section $15,000,000 for fiscal year 1993 and such sums as may be
necessary for each of the fiscal years 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998,
1999, and 2000.
