Sec. 1421. Prevention of interference with other uses of the
high seas
Each license and permit issued under this subchapter shall include
such restrictions as may be necessary and appropriate to ensure that
exploration or commercial recovery activities conducted by the licensee
or permittee do not unreasonably interfere with the interests of other
states in their exercise of the freedoms of the high seas, as recognized
under general principles of international law.
