This pertains to the Memorandum dated November 17, 2000 of Atty. Ma. J. Angelina G. Matibag, Director IV, Education and Information Department, requesting for the procurement of supplies of printing of IDs for media accreditation.

"May we request the immediate purchase of supplies for media accreditation and printing of IDs for the Local and Foreign Press, Foreign Observers, Comelec Information Task Force in connection with the National and Local Elections on May 14, 2001."

Considering the foregoing, the Commission, resolved, as it hereby resolves, to authorize the procurement of the following materials and supplies for the May 14, 2001 Local and National Elections, subject to availability of funds and COA rules and regulations:chanroblesvirtuallawlibrary

1.  Sixteen Thousand (16,000) Local Media Press Cards;
2.  Two Thousand (2,000) Foreign Media Pass Cards;
3.  One Thousand (1,000) Foreign Observers Pass Cards; and
4.  Five Hundred (500) Information Task Force Cards.
