REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3415 - AN ACT TO
AMEND Sec. SEVEN, THE LAST PARAGRAPH OF Sec. EIGHT AND THE FIRST
PARAGRAPH OF Sec. THIRTY-ONE OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED TWO THOUSAND SIX
HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT
Section 1. Section seven of Republic Act Numbered Two
thousand six hundred eighty-eight, otherwise known as the Charter of
the City of Toledo, is amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 7. The Mayor. — The Mayor shall be the chief
executive of the city. He shall be elected at large by the qualified
voters of the city. No person shall be eligible for the position of
Mayor unless at the time of the election he is at least twenty-five
years of age, a resident of the city for at least two years prior to
his election, and a qualified voter therein. He shall hold office for
four years, unless sooner removed, and shall receive a salary of eight,
thousand four hundred pesos per annum. The Municipal Board may
appropriate such sum of money as may be necessary for the house
allowance of the Mayor, not to exceed two hundred pesos monthly, or
commute the same in addition to his salary."
Sec. 2. The last paragraph of Section eight of the
same Act is amended to read as follows:
"The Vice-Mayor shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to
him by the Mayor or prescribed by law or ordinance. He shall receive a
salary of six thousand six hundred pesos per annum."
Sec. 3. The first paragraph of Section thirty-one of
the same Act is amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 31. The City Fiscal and assistant city fiscal —
Their powers and duties. — There shall be a city fiscal and an
assistant city fiscal who shall discharge their duties under the
general supervision of the Secretary of Justice. The City Fiscal and
assistant city fiscal shall receive a salary of five thousand one
hundred pesos and three thousand six hundred pesos per annum,
respectively. The City Fiscal shall be the chief legal adviser of the
city and all offices and departments thereof. He shall have the
following powers and duties:"
Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its
approval.
