REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8987
December 12, 2000

AN ACT CONVERTING THE SUB-DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF BUTUAN INTO A FULL-FLEDGED ENGINEERING DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS THE BUTUAN CITY ENGINEERING DISTRICT AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1. The Sub-District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways in the City of Butuan is hereby converted into a full-fledged engineering district to be known as the Butuan City Engineering District.chanrobles virtualaw library

Sec. 2. The said engineering district shall comprise only the City of Butuan.chanrobles virtualaw library

Sec. 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.chanrobles virtualaw library

Sec. 4. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall promulgate the necessary rules, orders and circulars to implement the provisions of this Act.chanrobles virtualaw library

Sec. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
