REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4048 - AN ACT TO
CONVERT THE SOUTHERN SAMAR NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL IN THE
MUNICIPALITY OF SALCEDO, PROVINCE OF SAMAR, INTO A COLLEGE TO BE KNOWN
AS SOUTHERN SAMAR AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE
APPROPRIATION OF THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREFOR Section 1. The Southern Samar National Agricultural School located in the Municipality of Salcedo, Province of Samar, is hereby converted into a college to be known as Southern Samar Agricultural College. Sec. 2. The Southern Samar Agricultural College
shall offer in addition to the secondary agricultural curriculum any or
all of the following collegiate courses at the discretion of the
Director of Vocational Education: Sec. 3. The Southern Samar Agricultural College shall be headed by a Superintendent of Agricultural Instruction and shall be under the Bureau of Vocational Education. The Superintendent shall have direct administration and supervision over the Samar National Agricultural School, Balangiga Rural School, General MacArthur Rural Agricultural School, Maydolong Rural Agricultural School, Eastern Samar National Agricultural School, Can-Avid Rural Agricultural School, Arteche Rural Agricultural School and Catubig National Rural School, all of which are under the Bureau of Vocational Education. Sec. 4. The sum of two hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said college, in addition to the present appropriation of the said school, for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-five. Thereafter, the necessary sum for said purpose shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. Sec. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its
