REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7683 - AN ACT TO
DECLARE THE 22ND DAY OF JULY OF EVERY YEAR A NON-WORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC
HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF BOHOL AND THE CITY OF TAGBILARAN TO BE KNOWN
AS "BOHOL DAY" Section 1. On July 22, 1854, Bohol was separated from Cebu and, together with Siquijor, was created into a politico-military province during the Spanish rule in the Philippines. Thereafter, it was recognized as a province during the American regime. Sec. 2. July 22 of every year is hereby declared a special non-working public holiday in the Province of Bohol and the City of Tagbilaran. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its
