REPUBLIC ACT NO. 891
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 891 - AN ACT APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES DURING THE PERIOD FROM JULY FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-TWO TO JUNE THIRTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY-THREE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES




Section 1.    The following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are appropriated out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated for the period from July first, nineteen hundred and fifty-two to June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and fifty-three, for the purposes specified hereunder.  

ORDINARY EXPENDITURES
A. — CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES
(2)   HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

I. — Salaries and Wages

1.    For other services, including
transportation and additional secretarial
services for the Members of the House
of Representatives or expenses incurred
by direction of the Speaker     P75,000.00

2.    For the supplementary force that
may be employed at any time in the
discretion of the Speaker, including
additional compensation for per diems to
the military and police attaches of the
Speaker     P75,000.00

1.    For payment of the cash
commutation of the accumulated
vacation and/or sick leaves of
secretarial and clerical personnel of

in Republic Act No. 815     P1,500,000.00

Sec. 2.    The provisions of Republic Act Numbered Eight hundred and sixteen to the contrary notwithstanding, any savings from the appropriations authorized in the said Act for the Department of Justice and the Department of National Defense may be used to cover the following additional expenses of said departments, respectively, not exceeding the amounts specified hereunder:

1.    Traveling expenses of personnel,
Court of Industrial Relations     P10,000.00

2.    Postal, telegraph, telephone, cable
and radio service, Bureau of Immigration     3,700.00

4.    Rental of buildings and grounds,
Bureau of Immigration     100.00

5.    Consumption of supplies and
materials, Bureau of Immigration     14,000.00

6.    Traveling expenses or persons
not government employees, including
subsistence of alien detainees which in
no case shall exceed P1.50 per day,
Bureau of Immigration     27,500.00

7.    Maintenance and repair of
equipment, Bureau of Immigration     460.00

8.    Other services, Bureau of Immigration    1,740.00

Sec. 3.    The special and general provisions of Republic Act Numbered Eight hundred and sixteen are hereby made applicable to the appropriations provided in this Act: Provided, That no portion of the different items of the appropriations contained in this Act shall be transferred to any other item.

Sec. 4.    Effective date. — This Act shall take effect as of July first, nineteen hundred and fifty-two.
