Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated APR 12, 1999.
G.R. No. 128372 (People of the Philippines vs. Remegio dela Pe�a y Baguio.)
The motions of the Solicitor General for third and fourth extension of time totalling thirty (30) days from 27 May 1998 within which to file appellee's brief are GRANTED, and the ATTENTION of the Solicitor General is called to the fact that under Adm. Matter No. 99-2-03-SC which took effect on 15 March 1999, he is allowed only a maximum of ninety (90) days extension of time within which to file brief, unless compelling reasons warrant a further extension which shall in no case exceed twenty (20) days.
The appellee's brief dated 25 June 1998 and the letter of Ms. Rizalina B. Tiongson, Chief, Docket Division, Office of the Solicitor General, dated 12 August 1998 submitting to this Court the proof of personal service of a copy of the appellee's brief on accused-appellant's counsel are NOTED.
