Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated APR 7, 1999.

G.R. No. 133254-55 (People of the Philippines vs. Roberto Salaguit y Ko.)

Considering the compliance by Atty. Benjamin M. Dacanay, counsel for accused-appellant, with the resolution of 20 January 1999 which required him to submit accused-appellant's written conformity to his withdrawal as counsel pursuant to Section 26, Rule 138 of the Revised Rules of Court, and it appearing that the required written consent has not yet been submitted, the Court RESOLVES to: (a) DENY the motion of Atty. Benjamin M. Dacanay to withdraw as counsel for accused-appellant; and, (b) REITERATE the resolution of 20 January 1999 and require Atty. Dacanay to COMPLY therewith by submitting to this Court accused-appellant's written consent to his withdrawal as counsel within ten (10) days from notice hereof.
