Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated AUG 16, 1999.
G.R. No. 129592 (Luzon Bag Corporation vs. National Labor Relations Commission, et al.)
Acting on the inquiry of Eduardo
Lopez, Jr., President of Luzon Bag Cooperative Workers Union relative to the
release of the P1,000,000.00 bond posted by petitioner to stay the
execution of the Order dated January 31, 1997 and the resolution dated May 16,
1997 in NLRC SUB-RAB III-11-6650-95 (NCR CA No. 11177-96 entitled "Eduardo
Lopez, Jr., et al. vs. Luzon Bag Corporation") and considering that the
petition for certiorari in this case was dismissed on February 23, 1998 and
after an entry of judgment was made on April 13, 1998, Labor Arbiter Dominador
B. Saludares issued an Order dated June 18, 1998 for the release to the
National Labor Relations Commission, through Sheriff Numeriano Reyes and/or
Antonio Datu, the bond of P1,000,000.00 to partially satisfy the
monetary judgment award in this case, the Court Resolve to DIRECT the SC Chief,
Financial Management and Budget Office, to RELEASE to the National Labor
Relations Commission, through Sheriff Numeriano Reyes and/or Antonio Datu, the
aforesaid cash bond in the amount of P1,000,000.00 for the purpose
above-mentioned, within five (5) days from notice."
