Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 17, 1999.

G.R. No. 134470 (Philippine Rabbit Bus Lines, Inc., et al vs. The Heirs of the late Teodoro Guaring, Jr.)

Considering the motion of respondents to dismiss the case for petitioners' failure to file the petition for review on certiorari despite the lapse of one hundred seven (107) days from the time their motion for an extension of time to file the same was granted in the resolution of August 19, 1998, the Court RESOLVES to GRANT the motion and to CONSIDER this case CLOSED AND TERMINATED as the judgment sought to be reviewed has now become final and executory.

Accordingly, the letter of Ramon M. Nisce, Chief Legal Counsel of petitioner corporation, dated December 5, 1998, requesting a period of thirty (30) days within which to look for another counsel to handle this case is DENIED.
