Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JUN 14 1999.

G.R. No. 132091 (People of the Philippines vs. Jesus Carpio y Agustin, et al.)

Accused-appellants' counsel, Atty. Arthur Llamas, was notified to file the appellants' brief within thirty (30) days from receipt thereof. Since the notice was received by said counsel on November 25, 1998 (per the registry return card attached to page 34 of the Rollo), he had until December 25, 1998 within which to file the brief for accused-appellants. However, no brief for accused-appellants has been filed up to this time.

Considering the foregoing, the Court, pursuant to Rule 124, �8 in relation to Rule 125, �1 of the Rules of Court, RESOLVED to DISMISS accused-appellants' appeal for failure to file the brief for accused-appellants.
