Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated SEPT 13 1999.

G.R. No. 117415 (People of the Philippines vs. Elisa Miranda.)

The appearance of Atty. Marvin R. Asias of the Public Attorney's Office, Department of Justice, DOJ Agencies Building, NIA Road corner East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, as counsel de oficio for accused-appellant, with motion for extension of twenty (20) days until 1 September 1999 within which to comply with the resolution of 10 March 1999 by conferring with accused-appellant regarding her withdrawal of appeal and submitting a report thereon is NOTED and GRANTED.

Considering Atty. Osias' compliance with the resolution of 10 March 1999 stating that he has conferred with accused-appellant and that after having been informed of the consequences of such withdrawal, she willingly and voluntarily decided to pursue the same, as well as the manifestation and handwritten letter of accused-appellant dated 26 August 1999 stating that she understands the consequences of the withdrawal of her appeal but nonetheless voluntarily withdraws her appeal, the Court RESOLVES to GRANT the withdrawal of appeal and to consider this case CLOSED and TERMINATED.
