Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated SEPT 20 1999.

G.R. No. 138527 (Milagros Areopagita vs. Court of Appeals, et al.)

In the Resolution of July 26, 1999, the Court denied the petition for review for the petitioner's failure to comply with the Rules of Civil Procedure, particularly for its lack of verification and defective or insufficient certification against forum shopping.

Petitioner moved for reconsideration of the denial alleging that the lack of verification is merely a formal defect and not really a jurisdictional defect, which in the interest of justice and equity the Court should allow the petition.

After a careful perusal of the petition and the petitioner's motion for reconsideration, the Court finds no compelling reasons to warrant a reversal of our resolution. Even considering the merits of the case, the Court finds no reversible error with the respondent court's findings and conclusion that the computation or payment of interest on the loan shall be reckoned from the date of filing of the complaint, which constituted as the judicial demand, and not from the date of finality of judgment, as contested by the petitioner.

IN VIEW OF THE FOREGOING, the Court Resolved to DENY the motion for reconsideration. This denial is FINAL.
