Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated SEPT 20 1999.

G.R. No. 139579 (Francisco Malate y Senado vs. People of the Philippines.)

The motion of petitioner for extension of thirty (30) days from the expiration of the reglementary period within which to file petition for review on certiorari is DENIED for petitioner's failure to show that he has not lost the 15-day reglementary period within which to appeal in accordance with Section 2, Rule 45 of the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure, as amended, it appearing that the Court of Appeals denied petitioner's motion for reconsideration of its decision on 9 June 1999, notice of which was received by him on 18 June 1999, and his motion for leave to file a second motion for reconsideration was likewise denied by the said court.
