Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated AUG 24, 2001.
G.R. No. 147589(Ang Bagong Bayani-OFW Labor Party v. Commission on Elections and G.R. No. 147613 - Bayan Muna v. Commission on Elections.)
Acting on Akbayan's "Very Urgent Ex Parte Motion to Include Comelec's Reply on the Court's Agenda," dated 22 August 2001 and the "Reply (to the 'Comment' of Akbayan dated August 8, 2001 and the 'Statement of Petition' of Butil dated August 9, 2001) dated 20 August 2001 filed by the Office of the Solicitor General for Respondent Comelec, the Court, as recommended by the Comelec and for the reasons cited in said Reply and in the earlier Partial Compliance Report, hereby partially LIFTS the TRO dated May 9, 2001 to enable the Commission to proclaim Akbayan Citizens Action Party (AKBAYAN) and Luzon Farmers Party (BUTIL) as winning party list groups, in accordance not only with the Decision of the Court in the instant case but also with Veterans Federation Party v. Comelec, GR Nos. 136781, 136786 and 136795, October 6, 2000. The said TRO shall otherwise remain in full force and effect until further orders.
