Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated AUG 2, 2001.
G.R. No. 148841(Enrico R. Echiverri vs. The COMELEC, The (Provincial) Board of Canvassers of Caloocan City, Lakas ng Demokratikong Partido [LDP] Caloocan City Chapter, and Liping Kaloocan, Luis "Baby" Asistio, Macario "Boy" Asistio Jr. and Oscar R. Malapitan.)
In connection with the temporary restraining order issued by this Court on 31 July 2001 ordering respondents COMELEC and the City Board of Canvassers of Caloocan City to CEASE and DESIST from implementing COMELEC Resolution dated 25 May 2001 in SPA No. 01-292, this Court CLARIFIES that the temporary restraining order it issued referred only to herein petitioner Enrico R. Echiverri who ran for Congress in the 1st District of Caloocan City in the last 14 May 2001 elections. Davide, Jr., C.J., Melo, Panganiban and Buena, JJ., are abroad on official business. Sandoval-Gutierrez, J., is on leave.
