Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 7 2001.
G.R No. 138228(Spouses Isidro Cruz and Lea Cruz vs. Spouses Florencio and Amparo Caraos, et al.)
Acting the Manifestation with Prayer to Lift Warrant of Arrest dated February 6, 2001 filed by Atty. Alan A. Tan, praying "that undersigned counsel he relieved from any further responsibility in the above-entitled case, and that the warrant of arrest issued on 20 November 2000 be lifted together with the appropriate directive to the Honorable Director of the National Bureau of Investigation, the Court RESOLVED (1) to DENY the prayer that counsel be relieved from any further responsibility in this case; to require, for such relief, compliance with Rule 138 Section 26, of the Rules of Court; and (2) to DENY also the prayer for the lifting of the warrant of arrest, as he has not complied with the Court's requirement that he submit a Comment.
His proffered excuses, particularly that he had to attend to other urgent matters is unacceptable.
