Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated 19 NOV 2002.
G.R. No. 133648(People of the Philippines vs. Marlene Castro y Havoc.)
Considering the request of Ms. Zoraida A. Ocampo, Officer-in-Charge of the Correctional Institution for Women, as contained in her letters dated July 2, 2002 and July 10, 2002, for permission to take accused-appellant Marlene Castro y Havoc to the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) for check-up, to which the Office of the Solicitor General states it has no objections, the Court RESOLVED to GRANT the aforesaid request subject to the condition that (1) accused-appellant is adequately escorted at all times by guards and accompanied by a medical officer; (2) accused-appellant be returned immediately to the Correctional Institution for Woman (CIW) after her check-up; and (3) Ms. Zoraida A. Ocampo, Officer-in-Charge of the CIW inform the Court, with copy furnished the Office of the Solicitor General, of the return of accused-appellant within five (5) days from the same and the resultsof accused-appellant's check-up as soon as the same are available.
