Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated 15 OCT 2002.
G.R. No. 135981(People of the Philippines v. Marivic Genosa.)
The Court Resolved to (1) NOTE the following pleadings/papers of the parties: (a) the January 20, 2000 "Brief" filed by appellant, without the assistance of counsel, which the Court received on February 4, 2000, (b) the February 17, 2000 Urgent Omnibus Motion filed by appellant's lawyer seeking to hold in abeyance the period within which appellants is required to file her brief, and (c) the elevation of the TSN of the January 15, 2001 and February 9, 2001 hearings on the partial reopening of the proceedings for the reception of expert psychological and/or psychiatric opinion on the "battered womansyndrome"; and (2) to DIRECT appellant to file her brief, with the assistance of counsel, within 30 days from receipt of this Resolution and thereafter to require the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) to file the appellee's brief within 30 days from receipt of the appellant's brief.
