G.R. Nos. 112783-89.
MERALCO EMPLOYEES & WORKERS ASSOCIATION, et al vs. HON. FRANKLIN M. DRILON, et al.
SECOND DIVISION
Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information,
is a resolution of this Court dated
G.R. Nos. 112783-89. (Meralco Employees & Workers Association, Ramon Militar, Philip Huang, et al. vs. Hon. Franklin M. Drilon, The Provincial Prosecutor of Rizal, Moreno Tanangonan, Fausto Cabugawan, et al.)
RESOLUTION
Considering the Manifestation dated March 27, 2001 of private respondents alleging that during the pendency of this case, significant events have supervened (such as the adjudication of the collective bargaining dispute subject of the strike staged by petitioners and the recent settlement of the subsequent labor disputes) and that they are no longer interested in prosecuting the criminal cases relating thereto together with the Manifestation and Motion dated March 30, 2001 of petitioners that in view of the above Manifestation of private respondents, there would be no need to rule on the issues raised in the instant petition as well as the Comment dated June 27, 2002 of the Solicitor General to the aforesaid pleadings that it interposes no objection to the dismissal of the present petition, the Court resolves to DISMISS the above-entitled petition for certiorari and prohibition.
Very truly yours,
(Sgd) TOMASITA M. DRIS
