Gentlemen:
Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated JAN 14 2003 .
G.R. Nos. 138146-91 (People of the Philippines vs. Sandy Hinto.)
Considering that the Office of the Solicitor General has no objection to the letter-request of Ma. Luz E. Villanueva, Chief of the New Bilibid Prison Hospital, as recommended by Marylou V. Arbatin, Medical Officer III, to have accused-appellant Sandy Hinto examined at the Medical Center Muntinlupa for CT-Scan in view of a finding of "R/O Space Occupying Lesion," The Court RESOLVED to GRANT the aforesaid request subject to the conditions that (1) accused-appellant is adequately escorted by guards and accompanied by a medical officer; (2) accused-appellant is returned immediately to the New Bilibid Prison after his CT-Scan; and (3) Ma. Luz E. Villanueva, Chief of the New Bilibid Prison Hospital, informs the Court of the return of accused-appellant within five (5) days from the same and the results of accused-appellant's CT-Scan as soon as the same are available, furnishing a copy thereof to the Office of the Solicitor General.
