MEMORANDUM
ORDER NO. 20-2004
AUTHORIZING
THE CONDUCT OF THE ORIENTATION-WORKSHOP ON THE HARMONIZED GENDER AND
DEVELOPMENT (GAD) GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTATION,
MONITORING AND EVALUATION FOR THE COMMITTEE ON GENDER RESPONSIVENESS IN
THE JUDICIARY (CGRJ) AND THE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO), AND THE
ATTENDANCE OF CONCERNED PERSONNEL THEREIN.
WHEREAS, the
Official Development Assistance-Gender and Development (ODA-GAD)
Network composed of donor organizations, together with the National
Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and the National Commission
on the Role of Filipino Women (NCRFW), recently undertook an initiative
to review existing Gender and Development (GAD) guidelines for project
development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation to ensure that
GAD, principles are mainstreamed in their respective aid/lending
programs;
WHEREAS, as a result
of this initiative, a consultant was contracted by the Network to
develop a simplified and harmonized GAD guidelines to provide donor
organizations, NEDA, and proponent/implementing agencies with a common
tool for mainstreaming GAD principles in project development,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
WHEREAS, these
guidelines are valuable in the implementation of the Strategic GAD
Mainstreaming Plan for the Philippine Judicial System by the Committee
on Gender Responsiveness in the Judiciary (CGRJ) and in the project
development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation by the Program
Management Office (PMO);
NOW, THEREFORE, the
Court hereby authorizes the conduct of an Orientation-Workshop on the
Harmonized GAD Guidelines for project development, implementation,
monitoring and evaluation for the CGRJ and the PMO.
The
Orientation-Workshop will be held on 22 April 2004, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00
p.m.; at the Justices' Lounge, Supreme Court.
The following

Participation in the
Orientation-Workshop shall be on official time. All expenses
related to the Orientation-Workshop shall be charged against the
GOP-Counterpart Funds. Above-named participants are requested to
