(a) The Privacy Act Officer may deny an individual access to his (or her) record if: (1) In the opinion of the Privacy Act Officer, the individual seeking access has not provided sufficient identification documentation to permit access; or (2) The Office has published rules in the (b) If access is denied, the requestor shall be informed of the reasons for denial and the procedures to obtain a review of the denial (see §2504.15).
