Sec. 61d. Compensation of Chaplain of Senate
Effective with respect to pay periods beginning on or after December
22, 1987, the Chaplain of the Senate shall be compensated at a rate
equal to the annual rate of basic pay for level IV of the Executive
Schedule under section 5315 of title 5.

A prior section 61d, Pub. L. 93-145, Nov. 1, 1973, 87 Stat. 528;
Pub. L. 95-26, title I, May 4, 1977, 91 Stat. 80; Pub. L. 96-38, title
I, Sec. 103, July 25, 1979, 93 Stat. 112; Pub. L. 97-51, Sec. 121, Oct.
1, 1981, 95 Stat. 965, provided that effective October 1, 1981, the
compensation of Chaplain of Senate would be $52,750.
Another prior section 61d, acts Aug. 5, 1955, ch. 568, Sec. 1, 69
Stat. 499; July 12, 1960, Pub. L. 86-628, 74 Stat. 446; Aug. 14, 1964,
Pub. L. 88-426, title II, Sec. 203(h), 78 Stat. 415; Dec. 12, 1969, Pub.
L. 91-145, 83 Stat. 340; Aug. 18, 1970, Pub. L. 91-382, 84 Stat. 808,
made provision for the appointment of a Secretary to Chaplain of Senate
and prescribed compensation of Chaplain of Senate and Secretary to
Chaplain.
