Please take notice that the Court en banc issued a Resolution dated OCTOBER 19, 2010, which reads as follows:

"Bar Matter No. 2259 (Petition for Issuance of a Bar Diploma of Anna Chella Pamintuan-Cureg.). - Before this Court is a Petition dated June 7, 2010 filed by Anna Chella D. Pamintuan-Cureg which seeks for the re-issuance of her bar diploma or Certificate of Admission to the Philippine Bar.

Upon verification, it appeared that petitioner was admitted to the Philippine Bar on May 6, 2002, with Roll of Attorneys No. 47058 under the name of Anna Chella Pamintuan-Vitangcul. Later, due to her change of marital status, on August 7, 2009, in Bar Matter No. 2126, petitioner was allowed to change her name from Anna Chella Pamintuan-Vitangcul to Anna Chella Pamintuan-Cureg.

In the instant petition, petitioner now manifests that her bar diploma was destroyed by flood during the onslaught of Typhoon Ondoy. She claims that the bar diploma can no longer be retrieved or repaired. Thus, petitioner prayed for the re-issuance of her bar diploma.

In its Report dated September 23, 2010, the Office of the Bar Confidant recommended to the Court that the instant petition be granted and that petitioner's bar diploma be issued under the name Anna Chella Pamintuan-Vitangcul, the name reflected in petitioner's original bar diploma.

We find the petition to be meritorious. Thus, we deem it proper to grant the instant petition.

WHEREFORE, the Petition for Issuance of a Bar Diploma or Certificate of Admission to the Philippine Bar is GRANTED. The Office of the Bar Confidant is DIRECTED to issue petitioner's bar diploma under the name Anna Chella Pamintuan-Vitangcul." Carpio Morales and Abad, JJ., on leave.
