Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated 28 January 2009:

G.R. No. 184175 (People of the Philippines v. Juvenal Rivera y Paynado). - The records of this case were elevated to this Court on September 5, 2008 pursuant to the Court of Appeals Resolution dated April 18, 2008 which gave due course to the notice of appeal filed by appellant Juvenal Rivera y Paynado.

Considering the allegations, issues and arguments adduced in the appeal, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure of the appellant to sufficiently show reversible error in the challenged decision to warrant the exercise of this Court's appellate jurisdiction.

WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of fact and conclusions of law in the Decision dated March 12, 2008 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. CR-HC. No. 02152, finding appellant Juvenal Rivera y Paynado guilty beyond reasonable doubt of robbery with homicide and AFFIRMS said decision.
