RE: REQUEST FOR THE DESIGNATION OF ADDITIONAL FAMILY COURT IN BACOLOD CITY

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of the Court En Banc dated February 2, 2010
"A.M. No. 09-7-269-RTC (Re: Request for the Designation of Additional Family Court in Bacolod City). - The Court Resolved, upon the recommendation of the Office of the Court Administrator, to AMEND the resolution of August 4, 2009, to read as follows:

"A.M. No. 09-7-269-RTC (Re: Request for the Designation of Additional Family Court in Bacolod City). - The Court Resolved, upon the recommendation of the Office of the Court Administrator, to AMEND the resolution of August 4, 2009, to read as follows:
A.M. No. 09-7-269-RTC (Re: Request for the Designation of Additional Family Court in Bacolod City). - The Court Resolved, upon the recommendation of the Office of the Court Administrator, to
(a) RETAIN the designation of RTC, Branch 41, Bacolod City, presided over by Judge Ray Alan T. Drilon, as special court for family cases;Perez, J., no part.
(b) DESIGNATE RTC, Branch 51, Bacolod City, presided over by Judge Anita Guanzon Chua, as special court for family cases;
(c) ORDER that the following guidelines be observed in the unloading of cases:(i) RTC Branch 51 shall continue hearing and deciding cases pending in said sala where trial has already begun. For this purpose, trial has begun when the accused or any of the accused in a criminal case has been arraigned or when the pre-trial stage is terminated in civil cases;(d) DIRECT the Raffle Committee to
(ii) All cases pending in RTC Branch 51, where trial has not yet begun, shall be transmitted to the Office of the Clerk of Court for raffle among the regular courts; and
(iii) All newly filed family court cases shall be assigned equally to RTC Branch 41 and 51 until a total of 295 family court cases shall have been assigned to said branches. Thereafter, all subsequent family court cases shall strictly be raffled off equally to RTC Branches 41, 43 and 51;(i) PREPARE a regular Report showing (1) the total number of newly filed cases assigned to RTC, Branches 41 and 51, Bacolod City; and (2) a determination on whether a total of 295 family court cases have already been assigned to RTC, Branches 41 and 51, Bacolod City; and
(ii) SUBMIT the Report to the Court Management Office, Office of the Court Administrator, within ten (10) days from the conduct of the raffle."
